Funeral for PC Nicola Hughes

The funeral of PC Nicola Hughes will be held today in Manchester.

Nicola who was 23, was killed during a gun and grenade attack, in Tameside last month.

32 year old PC Fiona Bone was also killed in the attack, when the two officers attended a routine call.

Deansgate will be closed from 11am today, for the funeral as the cortege will travel through the road.

Thousands of police officers from across the country are expected to travel to Manchester.

They will be covering the city to allow the Greater Manchester police force to attend the service.

PC Fiona Bones funeral will be held on Thursday 4th October.
