Fire at Disused Manchester School
Over 40 firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a disused school in Greater Manchester. It started at 5am Monday morning in Sawley Road in Miles Platting.
There were fears the roof of the three-storey victorian building could collapse, but fire crews will stay at the site after the fire was put out to try and make it safe.
The building was in the process of being demolished after recently being used as a community centre.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is now undwerway.
