Family Pay Tribute To Murdered Bury Man

The family of a man murdered in Bury have paid tribute to him.
48 year old Brian Gavigan was found at a house on Merton Road.
Police were called to the property just before 4.30am on Sunday 4 September 2011 following reports the body of a man was inside the address.
Officers attended and discovered Brian had suffered multiple injuries.
The emergency services attempted to resuscitate him but he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.
A post mortem examination concluded he died as a result of multiple injuries to his head and body.
His family issued the following tribute:
'Brian was a loving father to his children and albeit he had his problems his family always came first.
His untimely death will leave a big hole in the hearts of all his family and friends. Brian should not have died in these circumstances and he will be greatly missed'
