Body found at Oldham house

An investigation is underway after a man's body was found at a house in Oldham.

Police were called to Brompton Street at around 6.25pm on Sunday, January 30 following reports of a concern for welfare.
Officers went into the house and found the body of a 42-year-old man. Inquiries are now underway to establish how he came to be found collapsed in the house. A post mortem examination is due to take place later today.

Detective Chief Inspector Philip Reade, of Oldham CID, said: "We are in the very early stages of our investigation and are still working to establish how this man died.
