Body Found in Manchester River Is Missing Student

Missing clubber Gurdeep Hayers body discovered in a city centre river.

The body of the missing student has been found in the River Medlock near York Street.

20-year-old Gurdeep Hayer, disappeared in the early hours of January 2nd.

The student from West Bromwich had been visiting the city to celebrate the New Year.

Police said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

A post mortem examination will take place later this week.
