St Patrick's Day Parade Returns To Nottingham

The St Patrick's Day Parade's taking place in Nottingham this lunchtime, but organisers are warning they are getting less and less cash to spend on it.

The parade sets off from the Forest Recreation Ground at midday and makes it's way through the city.  It's one of the few events actually held on St Patrick's Day itself.  Dublin and New York are some of the only other parades being held today.

Harley Davisons and Irish Wolfhounds are forming part of the procession and a team from County Donegal are leading the parade.

But there are concerns about cuts to funding for the team of volunteers who run the event.  They say the amount they are getting from the Irish government, sponsors and grants has all fallen during the downturn.
