An independent review's going to be held into river safety in Durham after three students - including a Leicestershire teen - died in the Wear in 14 months.
Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents will investigate after Euan Coulthard's body was found in the water on Friday.
An inquest into Euan's death is expected to be opened in the next few days.
He disappeared nearly two weeks ago after a university night out in Durham.
His mum and dad paid tribute to Euan, describing him as a friendly, out-going and fun-loving young man who embraced university life and had a very bright future ahead of him.
