Police divers from Nottinghamshire are searching a marina in Leicestershire in the search for man missing since last week.
22-year-old Josh Cotton, who lives in a narrow boat at Sawley Marina, near Long Eaton was last see at around 4pm on Friday 11 March.
His family say it is completely out of character, and have made an emotional appeal for him to return home.
Last night officers distributed hundreds of appeal leaflets to residents in the area around the marina, as well as visiting boat owners, but despite those enquiries and public appeals for help in tracing Josh, including one made yesterday by his family, police have received no sightings of Josh.
PC Dave Cross, from Leicestershire Police's Missing Person Team this morning recorded a video message urging the public to look out for him.
The longer Josh remains missing, our concerns grow for his safety, not least because his mobile phone, from which his family say he is inseparable, has been found on his boat.
When he was last seen, Josh was wearing black jogging bottoms, dark grey high-top trainers and a short brown hooded coat with fur along all of the external seams and above the pockets.
Anyone who knows where Josh is, or who sees him, is asked to contact police on 101.
