10 years on, wife appeals for help to catch her husband's killer in Nottingham.
The wife of a Nottingham man shot dead in a city centre barber shop 10 years ago says she needs to know what happened and why.
Chantel Watson's husband and a dad of two Omar, was shot at hair salon Nefretiti's Secrets, in Peveril Street at around 1pm on Friday 7 November 2003.
Police have told Capital that despite an intensive police investigation, no one has been convicted of the 24-year-old's murder.
Couldn't Stop Screaming
Now ten years on, Chantel has joined police to appeal for information about those responsible for Omar's death.
Chantel said:
'Omar was a real comedian, always making people laugh.
'I was on maternity leave from work that day. Omar told me he was going to the barbers and then we would go out when he got home. I started to get ready but then a few hours passed. I called his phone and got no answer, I called again and again. I didn't know what to do but I knew something was wrong.
'I spoke to one of my friends who told me to call the hospitals. I did and I ended up speaking to someone from CID who they told me to get to the Queen's Medical Centre. When I arrived and was told someone had shot him and he had died I just broke down. I couldn't stop screaming.'
