Arrest Over Murder After Nottingham Crash

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Nottingham.

Stephen Walsh, 37, was found dead at his home in Blenheim Avenue, Mapperley, at around 5.55am on Monday (30 July). 

He had been assaulted at his home the previous night shortly after being involved in a road traffic collision in Newstead Avenue, Mapperley, and leaving the scene.

He suffered serious head injuries in the assault.

Officers have picked up a silver Vauxhall Astra for forensic examination as part of the investigation.

However, detectives say they would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw anything suspicious in Blenheim Avenue at around the time of the assualt.
