Detectives investigating the death of a man in a fire at a disused building in Derby have released a picture of him.

Jaroslaw Wieczorek (26) was found dead inside the building on Great Northern Road following the blaze on Tuesday (October 8) by fire fighters.

A week on from the fire, detectives have released a picture of the victim and are reissuing their appeal for information. Uniformed officers have been back at the scene today speaking to people passing through the area.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Healey, who is leading the investigation, said: "We have officers back at the scene today speaking to people who may have used the site or been in the area around the same time last week.

"We believe the answers may come from people who use the site and we are keen to speak to anyone who has any information about the fire. ?We would urge anyone to come forward regardless of how insignificant the information may seem, it could be important to our inquiries."

A 39-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the fire remains on police bail. Anyone with information is asked to call Derbyshire police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
