Nottinghamshire Police say they have arrested a 30-year-old man after an incident in the city-centre on Sunday afternoon.
The man remains in police custody and is being questioned on suspicion of GBH.
It follows reports of a fight near to fairground rides next to the Nottingham 'Beach' on Sunday afternoon. It happened in full view of parents and children who were at the city-centre attraction.
A man was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre with stab wounds, but has now been discharged.
Part of the area was cordoned off for a time by police but is now open again to the public.
