UPDATE: 62 year old stabbed in Oadby - arrested man released

A man arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 62 year old man in Oadby in Leicester this weekend has been released on bail.

The victim has now left hospital after he was found with a neck wound in the street just before 8.45am on Saturday (June 22) in Bluebell Close. 

Detective Constable Gary Dickinson is investigating the incident, he said: 

Despite the arrest our enquiries continue in the area and we would encourage anyone who can assist and hasn?t yet spoken to the police to come forward. 

Incidents of this nature are extremely rare and we would like to reassure the local community that we still believe that this incident was isolated.
