An investigation is on in Leicestershire after three men smashed up supermarket self-service tills and stole cash.
Three men entered the Asda store in Barwell Lane, Hinckley on November 1st whilst it was closed and attacked the self-service tills.
The suspects used crow bars to gain access to the tills but no one was threatened or injured during the incident and made off with money.
Detective Constable Gemma Ashmore is investigating the incident, she said: “There were members of staff working in the store at the time but the premises was not open for business and no one was threatened during the incident.
“The suspects were wearing face coverings and it is believed they left the store and made off in a vehicle.
“We are carrying out house to house enquiries and studying CCTV from the immediate area. If anyone witnessed the incident or saw three men entering or leaving the store around 12.30am today they are urged to contact the police immediately.
“We would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen a vehicle being driven or parked in the area which may have raised suspicions, any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help with our enquiries.”
