CCTV footage has been released of a motorcyclist police want to find after a woman was badly hurt in a hit and run in Derbyshire last week
The 74-year-old was knocked over while walking along Derby Road - officers want to talk to the rider so they can eliminate them from their enquiries.
The collision happened at about 7.15pm on Sunday 8th January 2012.
The woman is recovering in hospital after undergoing surgery.
The video of a motorcycle was taken on High Street in Ripley a few minutes before the collision.
Sergeant Andy Carmichael, who is investigating the crash, said:
"Although we can?' see the bike very clearly the footage does give us some clues about it and the rider.
"We know that the rider is sitting upright rather than being positioned over the handlebars. He or she is wearing an open helmet and the bike has high mirrors, panniers and a white or chrome mudguard.
"It's important that we talk to the motorcyclist to eliminate him or her from our enquiries."
