A Nottinghamshire MP say women shouldn't have to wait another 50 years for equal pay.

Gloria De Piero, the MP for Ashfield and Shadow Minister for Women and Equality, has told capitalfm.com that from today, women are effectively working for free for the rest of the year because of a gender pay gap.

Campaigners want urgent action to close the wage difference.

The TUC says men working full-time are twice as likely to earn fifty thousand pounds a year, showing the glass ceiling holding back women at work's getting "stronger".
