The family of Ramniklal Jogiya describe a doting grandad and cricket fan.
The family of a jeweller who was murdered after being abducted as he made his way home from work have paid tribute to a "doting" husband, father and grandfather.
Ramniklal Jogiya, 74, is believed to have been bundled into a vehicle in Leicester on Wednesday night in the Belgrave Road area of the city.
The businessman's body was found on Thursday morning in Stoughton, near Leicester, after he was reported missing.
Leicestershire Police have released CCTV footage of the victim as he left his shop between 7.30pm and 8pm.
They are continuing their investigations and have appealed to trace a shopping trolley as well as searching the River Soar.
Mr Jogiya's family said in a statement: "Ramniklal was a loyal, gentle man who was passionate about his family.
"He was a doting husband, father, grandad, brother and uncle, who loved nothing more than spending time with his family, whether it be sharing food, watching the cricket or catching up with favourite Asian TV serials with his wife.
"Our family has been left devastated. Our close-knit family has lost a great man. We keep reliving what happened to him and we're deeply saddened and hurt.
"If you know what happened to Ramniklal we would urge you contact the police. Nothing can bring him back but the people responsible need to be caught."
Police have arrested 5 men in Leicester on suspicion of kidnap and murder.
