East Mids Actors Up For Oscar

The Kings Speech, Inception, The Social Network, Black Swan and 127 Hours are all up for Best Film at the Oscars this weekend...

But so too is a movie full of East Midlands talent, it's called Wish 143 and it's up for Best Short Film.

The movie is full of actors from Derby and Nottingham, who trained at Nottingham's Television Workshop, the same place that trained a young Samantha Morton.

Derby Actress Chanel Creswell has been telling Capital she's beyond excited:

"We were all hugging each other and to win all of these awards and even be nominated for an Oscar, it's [the film] come so far from being a little short"
