Doctors Teach About Knife Crime

Junior Docs in Notts to show young offenders consequences - AND how to save lives.

A project aimed at helping young people caught up in knife crime know how to potentially save a life, is gonna be launched in Nottingham.

Junior Doctors from Nottingham are gonna be at a conference this weekend - learning how to talk to youngsters in our region.

One of the techniques the doctors use to get the message of the dangers across is by pouring out pints of fake blood on the flood - so youngsters can see just how much blood they lose.

Thousands of young offenders have already been through the Street Doctors project, (piloted in Liverpool) with three lives being saved after they were shown what to do if the worst should happen.
