Police are looking for a driver who attacked another motorist with some sort of weapon in a Leicestershire village.
The 43-year-old was assaulted as the two cars stopped outside a newsagents in Croft Road in Cosby, last night.
The victim is now being treated for head injuries at Nottingham's QMC.
It happened just before 8 o'clock.
Leicestershire Police have told Capital they don't think the weapon used was a gun but they're trying to work out exactly what type of weapon it was.
Detective Inspector Alex Hathaway, who is investigating the incident said:
'I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the actual incident take place or either of the vehicles in the moments leading up to the incident.'
