CCTV Released After 15-Year-Old Is Stabbed In Leicester

Police have released a CCTV image as they try to find out who stabbed a 15-year-old in Leicester.

The teenager was was walking along Larch Street, just off Uppingham Road, at about 10.15pm with some friends when they were approached by three men and assaulted.

He suffered stab wounds to his body and was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

His friend, who is 17, intervened and ended up with a knife injury to his face.  He's now been released from hospital.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Constable Eliot Burgess is investigating the incident, he said: “The victim has subsequently been discharged and is continuing his recovery at home.

“From enquiries we’ve conducted so far it’s believed the three men came from the direction of Forrest Road and approached the victims in Larch Street where the assault took place, they made off on foot through the alleyways towards Uppingham Road.

“If you recognise the man in the image or you have any suspicions about who he may be then please come forward, even if you’re not sure we would still like to speak to you as we can quickly eliminate people from our enquiries.

“Officers have carried out enquiries locally to identify any potential witnesses but would still like to speak to anyone who hasn’t yet spoken to officers and can assist with their enquiries.
