Two Arrested After Man Dies In Wolverhampton Stabbing

Two men are being questioned after a 23-year-old died in a stabbing in Wolverhampton.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Carter Road in the Whitmore Reans area of the city at around 7am yesterday morning (Saturday 3rd September)
The victim, aged in his 30s, but who is yet to be formally identified, was found in the street having suffered multiple stab wounds.
Despite the efforts of medical crews he was pronounced dead in hospital shortly after 8am.
The men, aged 36 and 33, were arrested at different locations in the Whitmore Reans area of the city yesterday at 12pm and 10pm respectively. Both remain in custody.
A forensic post-mortem is due to take place today (Sunday 4 September).
Police are appealing for witnesses and in a statement they told Heart: "Anyone who was in the area at the time and thinks they may have seen anything which could assist police is asked to call 101.
"Alternatively information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
