A Solihull Mormon bishop who suffered severe head injuries in a car-jacking has been moved out of intensive care.
The condition of David Charmbury is continuing to improve and his condition is now described as stable, West Midlands Police said in a statement.
Mr Charmbury, 45, was placed in an induced coma after being dragged along by his own 4x4 outside a church in Chelmsley Wood, near Birmingham, on August 16.
Harley Hayes, 36, of Bluebell Drive, Chelmsley Wood has been charged with assault and taking a vehicle by force over the incident.
He is due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on November 30.
