A man was knocked unconcsious following an assault outside a Black Country pub.
The 38-year-old man had been drinking in the Prince Of Wales pub on High Street in West Bromwich in the early hours of Sunday 11 November when he became involved in an argument with a group of asian men.
It is believed that the asian men followed the victim as he left the pub and assaulted him.
Detectives have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the assault and are keen to speak to any witnesses.
Detective Constable Roland Stuttard, from Force CID, said: “This was a vicious attack that left a man unconscious. The victim sustained facial injuries and continues to require medical treatment.
“We believe that an altercation took place inside the pub shortly before the assault and are keen to speak to any witnesses.
“The assault took place outside the pub and again we are eager to speak to anyone who witnessed it or can help us identify the men in the pictures.
“I would also urge the men in the photos to do the right thing and contact us.”
Anyone with information that could help the inquiry are urged to contact DC Stuttard and his team by calling West Midlands Police on 101. Alternatively they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
