West Midlands Police say they now don't believe there was a plot to kidnap and kill one of their officers.
The force recieved an anonymous tip off from a caller on Monday night, and they were told threats had been made to one of their officers in Birmingham.
As a result, officers were held back on duty and given a special security briefing, where they were told not to wear their uniform on their way to and from work as a precaution.
Last night (Wednesday) the force the circumstances behind the call is still being investigated but they do not think it was terrorist related nor is there any credible threat of a kidnap.
A 31-year-old man who was arrested has now been eliminated from their enquiries.
