Police have named a man found murdered at a home in the Black Country as father of two Simon Johnson.
A murder investigation began on Thursday (11th August) after the 41-year-old was found at an address in Cradley Road at around 9.40am.
A post mortem examination revealed he died as a result of stab injuries.
Mr Johnson’s wife has issued the following tribute to him: “Simon was loved by all of his family and was a very proud father of two girls. We are devastated by our loss and would like our privacy to be respected as we grieve."
Two men – both aged 18 – had been arrested on suspicion of murder but have since been released without charge.
And last night detectives arrested a third 18-year-old in connection with the killing.
Detective Inspector Warren Hines, from West Midlands Police’s Homicide Team, is leading the investigation and continues to appeal for information.
He said: "We are still piecing together the circumstances of this man’s death and members of the local community could play a part in helping us to do that.
"If you saw anything – regardless of how insignificant you think it may be – and have not yet spoken to us, I would ask you to give me a call."
