Police Arrest Suspected Car Thief In Birmingham

A 21 year old's been arrested after a stolen car hit a bus and a pedestrian crossing in Birmingham.
The black Ford Fiesta failed to stop for officers just after 11am on the M6 northbound between junctions 6 and 7. Police say a stinger was used as it exited at junction 7.
The car carried on iwith two flat tyres and, after colliding with a bus and a pedestrian crossing, eventually stopped on Queslett Road, Great Barr.
The driver ran from the vehicle but was traced, with the assistance of the police helicopter, hiding in the garden of a house on Mildenhall Road a short while later.
The 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of the theft of the vehicle and remains in custody.
No-one was injured in the bus.
