Paradise Circus Traffic Information
Commuter routes out of Birmingham will be closed this month as work on the city’s £500m redevelopment of Paradise Circus begins.
It will involve changes to the Paradise Circus Queensway junctions with Broad Street, Parade/Sand Pits and Summer Row, leading to restrictions on private vehicles and a number of changes to bus routes and stops.
The demolition of buildings at Paradise Circus will start on Monday 5th January for the new road layout.
When the work is complete the area will be simply known as ‘Paradise’ with the pedestrianisation of the the section of Paradise Circus Queensway road running alongside Birmingham Town Hall from Great Charles Street.
It is strongly recommended that an alternative form of transport is used during the Paradise Works. Consider public transport, car sharing, walking and cycling. For more information, see below.
