A teenager killed in a crash in Walsall has been named as Liam Ball.
The 17-year-old, from Malvern, died after the car he was a passenger in, hit parked cars in Weston Street in the early hours of last Thursday morning, West Midlands Police said.
A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Dudley magistrates on Monday morning charged with death by dangerous driving, driving without a licence, no insurance and failing to stop at the scene, the force added.
He has been released into the care of Social Services to re-appear at Dudley Youth Court on August 8.
In a tribute, Liam's family said: "This little man left us too soon and will leave a big hole in our family and hearts, god bless you Liam."
