A Levels

Didn't get into the uni of your choice? No worries, you can still go to university through clearing and we have the information you need.

The stress and the worry of not getting into your choice of university can take hold on A Level results day but don't worry yourself. You can go through clearing like over 33,000 students did in the week after A Levels came out last year.

Clearing is a process whereby unis fill out spare places on courses they may run and it's a great way to get into university. Spaces can often be found on university websites. If you haven't got the grades you expected to get into the university you originally picked, clearing allows you the chance to find another course.

You can apply directly to universities but also through the UCAS website where you can do a comprehensive search of courses.

Universities are using more novel ways to make clearing offers this year with Staffordshire University using Snapchat to offer places and De Montfort University using WhatsApp.

Here is how some of the unis local to you are offering clearing places:

Aston University

Birmingham City University

Newman University Birmingham

University College Birmingham

University of Wolverhampton
