A 22-year-old-man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed in Wolverhampton city centre.

It's after an attack near to The Outback Nightclub on Queen Street at just after 4:20 on Saturday morning (26 January).

Two men - aged 18 and 19 - and two 15-year-old boys from Wolverhampton have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

The victim - who sustained a single stab wound to the back - was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He’s now in a serious but stable condition.

Detective Sergeant Neil Bason from Force CID, said: "We believe this was a targeted attack with no threat to the wider public, but we’ll be deploying extra officers to the area to give reassurance over the weekend.

“At present our enquiries are on-going and officers are in the area carrying out CCTV and forensic investigations.

“Although we have four people in custody in connection with the attack, I must stress our investigation is very much in the early stages and anyone with information should contact us.”
