Football League Fixtures Announced

The Football League have released fixtures for the upcoming 2016/17 season with West Midlands clubs finding out their games.

Aston Villa

Relegated from the Premier League last season the Villans will be hoping for a better season this time around. They start their season away to Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday 7, August and will face local rivals Birmingham City away at the end of October. You can find the full fixtures here

Birmingham City

The Blues impressed finishing tenth last season under Gary Rowett. They will begin their season at home with Cardiff City visiting St Andrews on Saturday 6, August. Their first derby of the season will be Wolves at home in August. Full fixtures can be found here

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves will begin their season with an away trip to the New York Stadium and Rotherham United. They will face relegated Newcastle United away on Saturday 16, September. Kenny Jackett will look to improve on last season's 14th place finish. Find out the rest of the Wolves fixtures here

Walsall

Down in League One, Walsall will be looking for another promotion push as they take on new boys AFC Wimbledon at home. They will face both Shrewsbury and Coventry City at home in October. Walsall's full campaign schedule can be found here.
