Two men have been arrested after another man was found stabbed to death in Birmingham.
The body of a 59-year-old was found in a flat by emergency services in Brewers Square, Edgbaston, at around 9.45pm last night.
West Midlands Police say he has been identified but is currently not being named. Capital's been told a post mortem examination will take place this weekend to establish exactly why he died.
A 29 and 30-year-old are being questioned by detectives over the murder. Police say the pair were arrested at the scene on Brewers Square.
The road is closed for forensic examinations to take place. Drivers and pedestrians are being told to avoid the area.
Detective Inspector Jim Munro said: "We're working to understand the motive for the murder. Initial house to house inquiries have been undertaken as officers and forensic experts continue their work at the property."
CCTV cameras in the area which may have captured vital clues have been identified with the footage set to be trawled later today.
Anyone with information which may help Det Insp Munro with his investigation should call him on 101. Details can also be passed to the detective anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
