An E-fit's been released of a suspect after a robbery and sexual assault in a park in West Bromwich.
On 24 April, a woman was walking in a park off Gordon Avenue, Hill Top - known locally as ‘The Milky’ - at around 7.20pm.
She was approached by a man who asked her for a cigarette before hitting her in the face with a metal bar and stealing her wallet.
Four days later, the woman was walking through the same park at around 5pm when the same man approached her again. He pulled her to the floor and sexually assaulted her.
The man is described as white, aged around 34, 5ft 9ins tall and of a slim build. He has a distinctive Mohican style haircut, black bushy eyebrows and a long nose.
Detective Constable Becky Wittin said: “While these two incidents are concerning, we are not aware of any other women being targeted or of any similar reports from the area.
“We have carried out numerous inquiries locally and the woman has been able to provide us with a detailed enough description for an E-fit image.
“In addition to the image, we suspect the man is foreign and the victim describes him as being Polish. I would urge anyone who recognises him to contact us as soon as possible."
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
