Police think two men pictured in CCTV images may be responsible for a series of thefts at gyms in the West Midlands.

A total of 30 thefts have been reported at branches of the Pure Gym chain in West Bromwich, Walsall, Coventry, Birmingham and Wolverhampton so far.

They've been made over a six week period during November and December with wallets and mobile phones among the items taken.

In each of the thefts, padlocks were unlocked and removed before people's belongings were stolen.

Police now think the men pictured, who are thought to be in their 20s and from the Smethwick area, may be responsible

Sergeant Craig Lewis, from Wolverhampton Police Station, is urging people to come forward with information.

He said: "We are keen to trace these men as quickly as possible to help with our enquiries,"

"The overall value of the thefts now runs into thousands of pounds and we are keen to identify those involved.

"These crimes cause considerable distress and upset with sentimental items stolen".
