A burglar has been jailed for four years after police tracked him through an iPad he stole.

Reece Reid, who has no fixed address, was traced through the Apple device to a haul of goods he had taken from an address in Erdington in Birmingham in July last year, said West Midlands Police.

Among items also recovered by officers were a laptop, camera and iPhone. But the Audi A6 car has not been found.

Reid, 23, was jailed at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday, after being convicted of two burglaries, and was banned from driving for two years after also being found guilty of dangerous driving.
