The 'Firework' singer is said to have called time on her relationship with the musician this week.
Katy Perry has revealed that she has been listening to a lot of country music since her reported split from John Mayer.
The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer took to her Twitter account to tell her fans to download the new album from Kacey Musgraves as it makes "everything better".
"You HAVE to get the Kacey Musgraves record that came out today. It makes everything better!," she wrote on her social networking page.
Despite numerous sources confirming the separation, the couple are said to be simply taking a break rather than breaking up – with close sources predicting a reconciliation is soon on the cards.
The couple get together back in the summer of 2012 following Katy's divorce from comedian Russell Brand.
The British star revealed how the found the marriage a "drag" this past week but has defended the female singer in previous interviews.
Meanwhile, Katy's representatives recently denied claims that the star is about to pen a tell all autobiography.
