The 'I Kissed A Girl' fan has been seen writing a lot of potential material in her diary.
Karty Perry could be set to pen a track about her relationship breakdown with Russell Brand.
The 'California Gurls' star and comedian husband Russell Brand announced plans to put at an end to their 14 month marriage last week and the singer has apparently been busy writing a lot of potential lyric ideas in her personal diary.
A source told The Sun: "Ever since problems started to emerge, she penned her thoughts in a diary which she goes back to draw upon for lyrics for her songs.
"She has always said that writing is almost a form of therapy for her and she would often be found in her dressing room on tour writing in her diary.
Speculation went into overdrive on Christmas Day after Katy was spotted enjoying the sun and sea in Hawaii at the same time Russell was pictured in Cornwall before the pair confirmed the split last Friday (30th December).
"She spent a lot of time in Hawaii over Christmas writing lyrics to two of her latest tracks," added the source.
Rihanna has also been reported as acting as a shoulder to cry on for the 'One That Got Away' star after news broke of the marriage breakdown.
Meanwhile, a new track from Katy leaked online just days after the split, which documents a failing relationship.
