Police have released e-fits of three suspects in an aggravated burglary in Portsmouth.
At around 2pm, Wednesday, April 6, three men got into a flat on the third floor of a block on Palmerston Road, Southsea.
They assaulted the two men, 26 and 23, inside the flat by punching and kicking them. One of the intruders was armed with a small metal pipe or tube.
The offenders took a laptop before leaving the address. They are described as:
*white man, early 20s, about 5ft 7ins tall, small, skinny build, wearing a grey, beret type hat with specks of white in it, gaunt, clean shaven face
*white man, early 20s, about 5ft 8ins tall, average build, wearing a black shirt, tattoo on his left arm, bald, clean shaven
*black man, late 20s, 5ft 9ins tall, broad shoulders, wearing a beige fleece type overcoat and blue jeans, sunglasses and baseball cap with curly black hair underneath, had a chunk missing out of his left ear
Both victims were treated at the Queen Alexandra Hospital, the older required stitches to injuries to his eye. The other man suffered minor injuries.
DC Lee Parker from Portsmouth’s CID said:
“As a result of his injuries, the older victim has suffered temporary, partial loss of sight.
“A man was earlier arrested in connection with our enquiries but was later released without charge.
“We’re now in a position to release e-fits of the suspects in the hope someone can identify them in confidence or recognises them as being in the area of Palmerston Road that Wednesday afternoon.”
