Three men are to appear in court after a rooftop disturbance which saw police call in negotiators.

Officers responded to reports of a group acting suspiciously in the Milton area of Glasgow at about 10.20pm on Sunday.

They arrested a 28-year-old man and others climbed onto the roof of a building on Scaraway Street.

A police helicopter and specialist negotiators were called in and at 4.30am a further two men aged 28 and 35 were arrested.

They are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday in connection with vandalism, breach of the peace and intent to commit theft.

No-one was injured and officers remain at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said enquiries are continuing.
