Two Arrested After Major Drugs Seizure in Clydebank

Drugs believed to be worth £2.3million have been seized by police in Clydebank.

Police searched a home on McCreery Street on Saturday 2nd March, discovering the substances. More than 41 kilos of cocaine,a significant quantity of diazepam tablets, a kilo of heroin and just over 14 kilos of cannabis were recovered in the operation.

A 30 year old woman and a 45 year old man have been arrested and charged in connection with recovery. Both were due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday 11th March 2019.

This seizure ensures that £2.3million worth of drugs will not be distributedon our streets. Drugs cause real devastation to people’s lives and the wider community.
