Two Arrested After Major Drugs Seizure in Clydebank

Drugs believed to be worth £2.3million have been seized by police in Clydebank.

Police searched a home on McCreery Street on Saturday 2nd March, discovering the substances. More than 41 kilos of cocaine,a significant quantity of diazepam tablets, a kilo of heroin and just over 14 kilos of cannabis were recovered in the operation.

A 30 year old woman and a 45 year old man have been arrested and charged in connection with recovery. Both were due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday 11th March 2019.

"This substantial recovery shows our commitment to disrupting drug activity and supply in our local communities. This seizure ensures that £2.3million worth of drugs will not be distributedon our streets. Drugs cause real devastation to people’s lives and the wider community.
