The Scottish economy is showing signs of recovery.
The private business sector grew at the end of last year- raising hopes of further growth this year.
The Bank of Scotland report said a rise in employment and exports helped.
Donald MacRae, chief economist at Bank of Scotland, said: ``The PMI for December showed a welcome rise to its highest level for six months indicating a return to moderate growth in the Scottish economy."
