Man attacked at suspected Cannabis Factory

A 30-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being attacked at an address on the junction of Diamond Avenue and Derby Road in Kirkby-in-Ashfield in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 8 March).

Police were called at around 3.25am and found the man in the street with serious arm injuries, which are believed to have been inflicted by a large bladed weapon.

He has been taken to King’s Mill Hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.

Officers believe the man was attacked at a nearby address, where they discovered a large cannabis grow.

Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information about who may have been responsible for the attack, to contact them.

They also want to hear from anyone who saw any vehicles in the area at the time of the incident.
