Tribute To Two Year Old Who Died With 100 Injuries
A toddler suspected of being beaten to death by his mother and stepfather has been described by his Grandma as an innocent little boy who was always smiling
Jeremiah Regis was pronounced dead in hospital in the early hours of Monday morning (21 Nov) having been found collapsed at the family home in Wednesfield High Street.
The boy’s mum, 25-year-old Sindyann Regis, and 27-year-old stepdad Chevaze Mcgregor appeared in Wolverhampton Crown Court accused of murder and were remanded into prison ahead of their next scheduled court date in December.
A tribute has been issued by two-year-old Jeremiah’s grandmother. She said: "Jeremiah was a lovely, quiet, innocent little boy who was always smiling. He will be greatly missed by his Nanna and entire family."
A post mortem examination has shown Jeremiah died from peritonitis as a result of blunt force trauma to his abdomen.
