The 'Great Times' star says his latest project will be the "American Idol for young tech wizards".
Will.i.am has announced plans to launch a new technology based reality show that he wants to act as the "American Idol for young tech wizards".
The 'This Is Love' star revealed his latest project during an IBC conference in Amsterdam this week.
"Every year, companies like Google need more innovators, but there is no content celebrating them," he told the audience. "The system thinks people are dumb and they don't care.
"We have no desire to make them care."
He continued: "We need creative people working with broadcasters, making smart content to inspire people to be geniuses."
Will holds the position as innovation director with Intel and also recently made history becoming the first person to stream a song live from Mars via the Curiosity rover.
His proposed new show is yet to be commissioned, but he has reportedly been in talks with several broadcasters to make it happen.
"It will be great TV and great for society," he added. "It's about educating and innovating at the same time; making content to inspire and to dream up the new future."
The Black Eyed Peas frontman was also among a star studded line-up for the first series of The Voice UK this year and is busy working on his new studio album '#willpower'.
This week, he also admitted that he would be delaying the release of his record because of leaked songs emerging online.
