The 'This Is Love' rapper says the Queen's elegance and politeness made him think of his own grandmother.
Will.i.am admires the politeness of the British royal family and says the Queen even reminds him of his grandma.
The 'Great Times' rapper says the British monarch is both "elegant" and "classy" and bears a striking resemblance in appearance and manner to his own grandma, noting that the Royals are from a "different generation of patience and respect".
"What I like about the idea of the royal family is they seem like they're well educated and there's something admirable about them," will.i.am told the Guardian this week. "And the Queen, she reminds me of my grandma.
"I was like, 'Wow, that's how my grandma is!" Elegant, classy and the way she wore her hat, even her clothes are like my grandma's clothes!" the Black Eyed Peas frontman explained. "She's the leader of the family, you know, and when Prince CHarles called her Mummy or Mumsy I was like, 'Wow!'."
He added: "It's amazing because they're just regular people. They're in the public eye but they manage to live straight."

The 'T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)' star went on to criticise how the current generation treats and respects their elders, and recalls a time when he worked with Whitney Houston and her manner reminded him of his mother.
"It's just a different generation of patient and respect and 'yes, ma'am'. There's no chivalry in culture anymore," will.i.am continued. "You don't have grandmas that remind you of the Queen nowadays.
"It's the same as when I was working with Whitney Houston, she reminded me of my mum, just how graceful and polite she was."
Will.i.am is currently enjoying the number one position on the Vodafone Big Top 40 chart, after entreating straight in the top of the chart on Sunday (24th June) with his latest single 'This Is Love'.
