Will.i.am Hopeful Cheryl Cole And Rihanna Collaboration Will Happen "Soon"

The 'This Is Love' rapper wants the 'We Found Love' star to record a song with Cheryl in the near future.

Will.i.am is reportedly pushing for Cheryl Cole and Rihanna to record a duet together and promises fans the team-up will happen "soon". 

The 'Call My Name' singer recently admitted she was keen to work with 'We Found Love' star Rihanna on a song together, and says now she has wrapped her album there should be time for the two to record a track.

"I told Rihanna there was this girl called Cheryl Cole and she is the pop princess of England," will.i.am revealed to The Sun this week, when asked about a potential collaboration between the pair. "I was telling people in America they should collaborate. 

He added: "Hopefully it will happen soon."

Rihanna is currently in London ahead of her performance at Wireless Festival 2012 next weekend, and has been recording new music after teasing fans by revealing she is "making magic" in the studio.

Earlier today it was also revealed that 'This Is Love' rapper will.i.am has been pushing for a collaboration between Cheryl and The X Factor USA judge Britney Spears.

Cheryl Cole launched her third studio album 'A Million Lights' this month, and has been filming the music video to her new single 'Under The Sun' in the UK this week.
