The Major Lazer star reveals he had huge admiration for 'OMG' singer following their recent hook-up.

Usher has been praised by producer Diplo, who was behind his recent single 'Climax'.

The Major Lazer star, who has previously collaborated with Beyonce and M.I.A., said he had huge admiration for Usher and revealed his recent studio sessions with the singer were among the most diverse of any pop star he has worked with.

"Because Usher's had such huge hits with the Guetta record and 'OMG,' people forget how much depth he has," Diplo told Billboard.
"He's so open-minded. He wasn't chasing a sound or jumping on trends. He just wanted to make something that felt fresh. He gave us messages like, 'We're going to bring the strip club to the stadium'."

Diplo added: "His references were crazy; he was bringing up Monsters of Folk, Little Dragon and all kinds of things. He makes big, giant pop records but he is also a huge fan of everything."

Meanwhile, Usher told the magazine that his new album 'Looking 4 Myself' is all about "striving for greatness and offering the best I have".

The 'Scream' star is among the acts set to perform at Capital FM's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium in London next month.
