Sigma are up against Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for a BRIT Award – but they don’t fancy their chances against ‘Uptown Funk’!

When Sigma’s Cameron and Joe came in to Capital, Max probed them on their upcoming BRIT Award nomination for Best British Single with Capital.

The boys are up against some SERIOUS competition for the prestigious award, with the likes of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ ‘Uptown Funk’, Ella Henderson’s ‘Ghost’ and Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’ also among the nominations.

Cameron told Max, “I think we’re in a little bit of trouble!” And said of ‘Uptown Funk’, “It’s just different, isn’t it? It’s quite refreshing to hear something that’s kind of got that – it’s not a dance track, it’s not a band thing, it’s a funk tune.”

Joe added, “It’s got a real retro influence, like the whole Michael Jackson thing and the fact that the video is all shot in New York. It’s really cool.”

Well you never know boys! ‘Nobody To Love’ was one heck of a tune – can Sigma take the award for Best British Single with Capital?
