The 'Part Of Me' star stepped out in Sydney over the weekend for the launch of her new documentary film.

Katy Perry wowed at the Australian premiere of her new film Part Of Me 3D with a stunning gold Versace dress, and was greeted at the event by a pair of drag queens also there to celebrate her cinematic achievement.

The 'Teenage Dream' singer launched her 3D documentary in Los Angeles last week and flew straight out to Australia for the Sydney premiere on Friday (29th June) at the Event Cinemas building, where she walked the pink carpet in a beautiful gown coupled with Christian Louboutin high heels.

"Well, that was heaps of fun!" Katy tweeted shortly after the event. "Thanks for letting me come down under… [heart] u Aussies! Show your love July 2nd AUS! #KP3D."

Katy posed for the cameras at her Sydney premiere, and greeted the army of Katy Perry fans who had turned out for the occasion, before also posing alongside two brightly dressed Sydney drag queens, who paid tribute to the 'California Gurls' singer's style with towering pink wigs and sparkling dresses.

Last week Katy revealed she plans to "hide away" for a while after she wraps promotion on Part Of Me 3D, and has promised her third studio album will be "much darker" than her previous offerings, admitting it is "inevitable" her music will change after the events of the past year.

Katy has also admitted she is excited to see what the future holds, but promises she is not yet ready for motherhood despite her desire to have children down the line.

Katy Perry is due back in London tomorrow (3rd July) for the UK premiere of Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3D.
